Food and catering enterprise studies

Our kitchen is a vibrant learning space where students gain practical experience in cooking, hospitality, and independent living. Through hands-on sessions, they learn to prepare and serve meals, skills that build confidence, independence, and a foundation for working life.
Meals cooked in the kitchen are shared across the provision, creating inclusive social lunches that encourage communication, teamwork, and a sense of belonging.
Students also have the opportunity to earn certificates that recognise their achievements and progress. The skills developed in the kitchen often feed into enterprise events and community projects, helping young people apply their learning in real-world contexts and prepare for future employment.
